wavesurgeon revision details

The origins of WaveSurgeon

WaveSurgeon was started in the February of 1997. It was not originally intended to be sold. However, Square Circle was formed to sell the program as shareware, and version 1 was released. Although this was received well, there were many ideas for an update, and a month later, version 1.1 was released, including SoundFont support. This feature made AWE owners very happy! Version 1.1 was vastly improved, although not perfect, and so for another month work progressed until 1.2 arrived. Although not greatly different from 1.1, features such as a resizable window and clipboard support were in place. Two weeks later came the best versions yet; 1.27 and 1.28, followed by 1.3 and then version 2, which is available from the download page. Square Circle has many plans for new features in WaveSurgeon, but relies on people to register its software!
